Saint-Émilion

topographically eclectic: gravel, clay, limestone and sand shape its soils. Fruit thrives with crunchy, supple and richly aromatic flavours.

Lussac Saint-Emilion

Full southern exposure with vines in plateaux or valleys Clay-limestone soils in the south and loamy clay in the north. Wines elegantly structured and balanced with round but powerful tannins

Pomerol

Small and rare vineyard with gravel and limestone soils Subtle wines, intense, powerful and extremely elegant

Lalande de Pomerol

Close to Pomerol characteristics, between gravels and limestones Signature for very fine wines, velvety and aromatic.

King grape variety

The Trocard family is passionate about the terroirs of the right bank and its emblem, Merlot. Deeply enamoured of the grape variety, this line of winegrowers has always been committed to extracting its quintessence.

Jean-Louis Trocard and then Benoit, like their ancestors, have established its mastery over their vineyards in Saint-Émilion, Lussac Saint-Émilion, Pomerol and Lalande-de-Pomerol.

Merlot is the story of our family. It lets us make a style of wine that I greatly appreciate, elegant, round, rich.

Trocard is a vast world. A vineyard, an ecosystem, complementary landscapes. Reading each terroir to make the purest possible wines is the bet that Benoit Trocard has made, by committing the properties to responsible and sustainable viticulture.

All Vignobles Trocard properties have been certified Terra Vitis since the 2018 vintage, and High Environmental Value since 2020. Such commitments are part of the cultural philosophy that Benoit adopts in his vineyards, where he favours meticulous attention to detail and plot selection. With a mosaic of terroirs, Benoit is committed to tailor-made vineyard

management, to preserve the typical character of each plot in the Vignobles Trocard terroirs.

Compliance with Terra Vitis specifications has encouraged Vignobles Trocard to apply a very strict, preventive crop-protection regime, increasingly based on biocontrol products.

Benoit has made the preservation of the terroirs and their biodiversity his spearhead in order to preserve their purest essence.
